What started as a vacant land with bush so thick you couldn’t see the lake from the proposed building site, ended up as a beautiful lakeside home.

This is a 3 bedroom, 5 bathroom, 2400 sqft home plus finished basement and in-law suite complete with a full kitchen, bathroom. There is a second floor loft overlooking a large great room with a view of the lake and the back lot. A 4 season sunroom with 2 sky lights adjoins the massive master bedroom and offers a spectacular view all year round. The oversized 2 ½ car garage with room for the toys finishes off the design with plenty of room for everyone.
The exterior materials were chosen with minimal maintenance in mind. This was accomplished by using a 25 year shingle, aluminum soffit and fascia, Maibec wood siding and full bed real granite stone facing giving it that cottage look. The deck substructure and railings are cedar with composite low maintenance decking. Curved railings give the deck and landings an attractive accent.
The home is air conditioned. Heating is provided by a propane furnace with supplement heat via a wood stove in the basement to help keep heating costs to a minimum.
The interior is finished with a cherry kitchen, granite island counter top, stainless steel appliances, 8 inch reclaimed pine plank flooring from the Ottawa River which covers most of the main floor. All vaulted ceilings are T&G pine with solid pine doors and trim throughout.
