What was once an unfinished basement, is now an entertainment area the whole family can enjoy with friends.
This renovation presented some challenges involving the removal of existing walls and working within the existing floor space of the basement to install a bar, pool table and home theatre. Space was at a minimum however, with careful planning and a solid understanding of space requirements we were able to complete all aspects of the project to perfection.
The bar hosts an L shape counter complete with bar sink and storage space. Behind the bar counter we installed a beverage fridge and microwave to pop up delicious popcorn for our movie goers.
The sitting area hosts reclining leather chair along with an air hockey table for entertainment during intermissions. In addition a 4’ x 8’ pool table and dart board rounds out the game activities.
The home theatre includes two rows of reclining sofa seating for 6. The back row seating is raised on a platform for improved viewing with theater style hidden rope lighting illuminating the raised platform. There is additional setting behind the counter which also offers room to place snacks and refreshments.
The 119” screen offers a theater realistic experience. Sound is provided by a 5.1 surround sound system and custom designed sub woofer built into the counter behind the second reclining sofa hiding the large speaker. The ceiling and interior walls were sound proofed. The all electronics are built into the side wall installed into a custom cabinet which is accessible through the rear via an adjacent room allowing very easy access to component’s the wiring.
